Liebherr Expands Truck-Mounted Concrete Pump Lineup With THP 80-LP City Pump
Liebherr’s new THP 80-LP is the manufacturer’s smallest truck-mounted concrete pump, and with a total length of 28.4 feet (8.7 meters) and weight of 22,686 pounds (10,290 kilograms), the THP 80-LP offers operators a high degree of flexibility and mobility when moving around the jobsite. Liebherr says the new concrete pump truck is significantly lighter than its truck-mounted boom pumps, and the pump includes many of the high-end features, such as a 159-gallon (600-liter) hopper, found on its heavy-duty truck-mounted boom pumps. The THP 80-LP was on display at Liebherr’s booth at the recent World of Concrete 2022 trade show from January 18 to 20 in Las Vegas.
Designed For The North American Market
Liebherr developed the THP 80-LP based on customer feedback and designed the truck-mounted concrete pump to provide the flexibility for line-pumping applications in urban environments and on residential jobsites. The THP 80-LP features a two-axle truck chassis with an open flatbed, which provides ample storage space for concrete tubes, plastic water tanks, and other accessories. Driving the lightweight truck doesn’t require a CDL, giving crews lots of operational flexibility.
High-Performance Pump
The robust pump kit on the THP 80-LP delivers a concrete pressure at the cylinder rod side of 1,088 psi (75 bar) for a maximum flow rate of 93 yards per hour (71 cubic meters per hour). Concrete pressure at the cylinder piston side is 1,813 psi (125 bar) for a maximum flow rate of 56 yards per hour (43 cubic meters per hour). Liebherr says that operators can easily switch the hydraulic hoses on the pumping kit to increase pressure. There’s also a pump kit option for high-pressure applications.
