Bridgestone To Preview New VZT 25-Inch Construction Tire At ConExpo
Tire manufacturer Bridgestone plans to preview an upcoming construction tire at the ConExpo-Con/Agg convention being held March 14th to 19th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new VZT 25-inch (635-millimeter) tire for loaders and graders will appear alongside several other Bridgestone heavy machinery tires from Bridgestone.
The company will also showcase its IntelliTire and Toolbox technologies from Bridgestone’s Fleet Care mobility solutions for construction applications.
The New VZT Tire
Bridgestone says it engineered the new VZT tire for traction, durability, and ride comfort. Its sidewall has greater cut resistance to prevent inadvertent damage from shortening the tire’s service life. The company will manufacture the VZT in Bloomington, Illinois, and in Japan and Thailand. It will become available in the first half of 2024 in 17.5R25, 20.5R25, 23.5R25, 26.5R25, and 29.5R25 sizes.
The manufacturer further plans to highlight other construction tires in its portfolio, namely the VLT, VLTS, and VMTD three-star quarry tire along with the Firestone VersaBuilt All Purpose (AP) and Firestone Duraforce MH.
Tire Management Apps
Bridgestone’s IntelliTire remote monitoring system uses internal or external sensors on the valve stem to report tire inflation pressure and temperature, both of which are key to a tire’s longevity. Toolbox is Bridgestone’s tire assessment and asset-tracking platform designed to help fleet managers to take charge of their tires’ life cycles.
