Track Phone Leads From All Your Advertising With CallStats

You run an ad, the phone starts ringing, potential buyers are asking about the asset, and finally, it sells. That’s a success, but there’s so much more information you could use for the future. How many calls did that specific ad generate? Where were people calling from? Were they local or far away? What time of day did the calls come in? Those answers can help determine future advertising strategies as well as staffing, and you can find all that information and more in the CallStats app.

Available in the Sandhills Cloud, the CallStats app enables sellers to track phone leads generated by print ads and online listings for retail, wholesale, auction, and rental assets. The app provides useful insights into caller demographics and call quality, as well as call logs to track numbers. It also allows dealers to record calls for quality assurance or training purposes.

    Your Go-To Call ROI Dashboard

With CallStats, each ad, whether in print, online, a banner ad, or an email blast, receives a unique phone number, either local or toll-free, to track the phone leads from that ad. When buyers call the number, they are forwarded to your regular business number. CallStats records useful data and demographics, which are available via the CallStats dashboard. You receive information on call volumes, geographic location, time of day, duration, and whether the caller is a new or repeat caller.

    Track Results Over Time

You can also review phone leads generated over time, including month by month or day by day, to track jumps in calls over the span of a specific campaign. Knowing the duration of calls helps you gauge the quality of leads and the service provided. Tracking call count per hour and call response—whether calls are answered or missed—helps inform scheduling decisions. Detailed call logs also give dealers an easy way to reference previous inquiries and follow up on missed calls, improving the quality of their customer service.

You can customize CallStats to further analyze campaigns. If your business has multiple locations, for instance, you can assign separate lines to each region or branch, then compare leads across locations. Phone numbers can also be assigned to multiple advertising outlets, including brands that don’t belong to Sandhills, so you can compare results. All information is accessible with just a few simple clicks, helping you evaluate what works and what doesn’t as you formulate your marketing strategy.

    Maintain Contacts

The CallStats Call Log keeps a cumulative list of callers’ phone numbers, names (if available), the CallStats number from the ad and the name assigned to it, and the destination number (business phone). Dealers can use advanced search features to locate customers in the historical call log who purchased assets as a result of the ads or to contact potential buyers. They can also export the call log to a spreadsheet file to use in Microsoft Excel or other apps.

Coming Soon: Free AI-Powered CallStats Summaries

An upcoming feature will allow  CallStats users to receive summaries of incoming calls. If you're a CallStats user with call recording enabled, every inbound call will be captured by Sandhills AI with the highlights summarized. For each call, you will automatically receive an email that includes:

    • The caller’s name and phone number
    • Assets discussed with links to the listings
    • A summary of the conversation
    • The representative the caller spoke with
    • A follow-up section with recommended next steps
