HAMM Smart Doc App Tracks & Documents Compaction
HAMM recently announced Smart Doc, a new app designed to work with its H-series and H CompactLine-series compactors. The app shows in real time how the compaction of the respective transit develops, a function that both documents the compaction in earthworks (fulfilling the minimum requirements of continuous compaction control) and helps to train new roller operators.
Creating Proof Of Compaction
With Smart Doc, every roller operator of a compactor from the H series or the H CompactLine series can easily produce a compaction report. The app connects the mobile phone with the CAN bus of the roller via Bluetooth, then Smart Doc tracks the current compaction parameters (speed, frequency, amplitude and compaction value) and transmits them to the app. The results serve as an economical alternative to more complex compaction control systems found in earthworks machines. A PDF compaction report shows the essential data on the project and contract section, the technical data of the compactor (weight, drum width, and static linear load), the various compaction parameters, and the number of transits per compaction lane. The report also contains a graphic that illustrates in which places and how intensively compaction has already taken place.
Easy To Operate
Once the project data has been entered, the recording can be started and stopped automatically when switching on or off the vibration or oscillation. And every transit and new track can be individually documented and automatically saved. Exporting the data can occur with one tap.
