Previously known as B.R. Lee Industries, LeeBoy is one of the leading manufacturers of asphalt pavers and road construction equipment in the world. B.R. Lee founded the company in 1964 after building his own drag boxes, and by 1970, he had designed the Model 500, a self-propelled commercial paver. It featured three notable patents: one for the tilt hopper, one for the hydraulic extensions, and one for the under-auger cutoff gates. The tilt hopper and hydraulic extension features are still found on modern pavers, and the under-auger cutoffs are used on all LeeBoy pavers.

LeeBoy currently operates as a subsidiary of ST Engineering—a company that produces equipment in the aerospace, electronics, land systems, and marine sectors. For all functioning purposes, the LeeBoy brand remains intact with commercial lines of pavers, graders, distributors, and maintainers, among others. The company still operates in Lincoln County, North Carolina, and is less than 20 miles from where it began operations in 1964.

Product Offerings

LeeBoy’s complete product line has expanded to include brooms, road wideners, motor graders, patchers, and force feed loaders, but the company’s primary focus is still asphalt pavers. Newer LeeBoy asphalt pavers are available in widths from 7 to 16 feet, with machine weights from 11,000 to 23,420 pounds, and featuring innovations like the Legend HD PRO Screed, which allows for variable paving widths and heavy-duty mechanism to adjust the screed for exacting work.
