About Track Concrete Buggies
Equipped with up to 16-cubic-yard steel and polyurethane heavy-duty, long-lasting buckets that can haul several thousand pounds of material, concrete buggies transport concrete around a jobsite quickly and easily. Concrete buggies essentially function like a wheelbarrow mounted on wheels or tracks and powered by a gasoline engine or electric motor; they significantly reduce the time and effort required to move material around a jobsite. Along with wheel models, track concrete buggies are the primary type of these machines. In addition to their suitability for carting concrete around, landscaping, general construction, and other operations use them to transport soil, gravel, rocks, debris, and other materials. As with wheel models, operators use handlebars, a steering wheel, or joystick controls to steer track concrete buggies. An integrated hand or foot lever makes dumping the buggy’s powered lifting bucket an easy task.
Track Concrete Buggy Features

Wacker Neuson DT08 Track Dumper
While wheel concrete buggies, also known as wheel power buggies, are generally less expensive, more agile, and faster (generally 4- to 7-plus mph) than track concrete buggies, track models are typically the better choice for working on less stable ground conditions, such as sand, mud, or soft or moist soil. Track models are also considered the better option for conditions with numerous inclines or hills where added traction is needed. In addition to walk-behind models, track concrete buggies are available in stand-on and ride-on models. Both walk-behind and stand-on models may feature a removable or foldable perforated platform that the operator can stand on. In addition to narrow designs able to fit through 36-inch doors, features can include hydrostatic drive systems, hand brakes, large fuel tanks, work lights, easy-access repair and maintenance doors, electric start, and support for various attachments.
