About Dynapac

Dynapac is a paving and compaction equipment manufacturer based in Karlskrona, Sweden, that specializes in track and wheel asphalt pavers, cold planers, and more. Founded as AB Vibro-Betong in 1934, the company didn’t officially become Dynapac until 1973. It is credited with launching the first vibratory compactor and the first vibratory roller for road construction in 1947 and 1953, respectively. Dynapac was part of the Atlas Copco Group from 2007 until 2017, when it was acquired by the Fayat Group, which is also the parent company of German roller, planer, paver, and compactor specialist BOMAG.

Dynapac SD2500C Large Paver

For compaction, Dynapac sells single- and double-drum vibratory rollers, combi rollers, steel drum rollers, pneumatic rollers, and tamping compactors. The company also manufactures compact, city, and large pavers, mobile feeders, and screeds. Dynapac’s range of compact equipment consists of hand-operated and walk-behind machines, including rammers, forward plates, reversible plates, double-drum rollers, and the D.ONE remote-controlled, articulated utility roller.

One popular Dynapac model is the F1200C compact paver. It features a 66-horsepower (49-kilowatt) Deutz TD2.9 L4 Tier 4 Final engine with a 22-gallon (83-liter) fuel capacity. Weighing 12,800 pounds (5,806 kilograms) with the standard screed, the F1200C has a material hopper capacity of 81 cubic feet (2.3 cubic meters) and can achieve a maximum paving thickness of 7.9 inches (201 millimeters) at speeds of up to 90 feet per minute (27.4 meters per minute). The automatic auger has a diameter of 12.6 in (320 mm) and features an ultrasonic sensor. It also features a slidable control console for operating from the left or right, as well as an extendable platform.

Dynapac’s SD2500C is another paving favorite. This large paver has a tractor weight of 40,785 lbs (18,500 kg) and features a 173-hp (129-kW) Cummins QSB 6.7 Tier 4 Final engine with an 85-gal (322-l) fuel tank. The SD2500C has a material hopper with a capacity of 212 ft3 (6 m3) and has a working width range of between 6.7 and 29.53 ft (2 and 9 m). Combined with its 15-in (381-mm) automatic auger with ultrasonic sensors, this machine has a maximum paving thickness of 12.2 in (310 mm) with a top paving speed of 92 fpm (28 m/min).
